These two videos demonstrate how to configure SecureCRT to use public-key authentication with VShell and OpenSSH servers.

The first video shows how to create a public-private key pair in SecureCRT and how to use the Public Key Channel (RFC 4819) to easily upload the public key to the VShell server.

The second video below shows how to create a public-private key pair in SecureCRT and how to use SecureCRT’s SFTP tab to upload the public key to the server. Also shown is how to append the public key to the appropriate file on the OpenSSH server and set permissions.
