9.0.1 releases of SecureCRT and SecureFX are now available for download.

This a maintenance release that addresses issues found in version 9.0.

New in SecureCRT 9.0

  • Consolidate network connections within SecureCRT 9.0 for Windows by connecting RDP sessions in tabs or tiles.
  • Python 3 support adds to the extensive scripting options available in SecureCRT, allowing automation of administrative tasks. External modules can be called from Python 3 scripts, making scripting even more powerful.
  • On Windows, save time with the integrated scratchpad tab and script editor tab. Just open a scratchpad tab and start writing notes. Edit local Python or ActiveX scripts without leaving SecureCRT.
  • Customize SecureCRT to work for you.  Set the status bar to show only the items you choose, in the order you want to see them. Pre-load agent keys to save time. Use the Command Manager to save and organize commands in folders.

  • ClientPack now supports the rsa-sha2-256 and rsa-sha2-512 public-key algorithms (RFC 8332).

8.7.3 maintenance releases are now available for SecureCRT and SecureFX. Version 8.7 is compatible with Windows 10, macOS 10.15 Catalina, and Ubuntu 19.x.

This a maintenance release that addresses issues found in version 8.7.2.

New in SecureCRT 8.7 (Official)

  • Keyword highlighting enhancement: Keyword highlighting is more versatile with the ability to match phrases and substrings for literal strings and regular expressions.
  • Command Manager (Windows only): Streamline repetitive tasks with the dockable Command Manager, which makes it easy to organize commands into named folders, filter commands by name, and launch them with a double click or by pressing Enter. Commands and command folders can also be shared with the button bar and vice versa.
  • Local shell session (Windows): On Windows 10 and Windows Server 2019 or later, you can open a local shell session within SecureCRT. A tabbed CMD or PowerShell session makes it easy to work on the local system without having to leave SecureCRT. Local shell was already supported on macOS and Linux.
  • True Color support: Xterm 24-bit color (True Color) is now supported.
  • Dark Mode support (Mac): Dark Mode support has been added for macOS 10.14 and later.

  • Multiple local windows: You can now open multiple local windows within SecureFX. When doing synchronized browsing, the remote session will be paired with its own local window.
  • Dark mode support (Mac): Dark Mode support has been added on macOS 10.14 and later.
  • WebDAV support: SecureFX can now connect using the HTTPS (WebDAV) transfer protocol.

Introducing the 8.7 Official Releases of SecureCRT, SecureFX, and VanDyke ClientPack

The Official releases of SecureCRT, SecureFX, and VanDyke ClientPack 8.7 are now available for download.

SecureCRT 8.7 (Official) increases your efficiency with a keyword highlighting enhancement that allows phrase and substring matches. On Windows, a dockable Command Manager lets you organize, filter, and launch commands, and local shell support lets you work in a tabbed CMD or PowerShell session. Also new are Xterm True Color (24-bit) support and the ability to include folders when filtering sessions in the Session Manager. On macOS, Dark Mode is supported.

 

SecureFX 8.7 (Official) user interface enhancements streamline your workflow. Open multiple local windows within SecureFX and use the Session folder filter to include top-level folders in your filtered sessions. Also new is improved protocol support including HTTPS (WebDAV) and remote same-system copy. On macOS, Dark Mode is supported.

VanDyke Clientpack 8.7 (Official) introduces enhancements including new algorithm support and support for Ubuntu 19.x and macOS 10.15 Catalina.
